Melissa Burton is an Associate Principal with specialist expertise in climate modelling and wind engineering, working in the Advanced Technology & Research team in Arup's New York office. Her accomplished career includes a global portfolio of project work, and involves giving invited lectures, the organization of committees for international conferences, interviews for thought pieces and newspaper articles, as well as writing and editing published text books. In addition, Melissa serves as Arup’s New York’s Diversity and Inclusion representative, responsible for delivering Arup’s EDI plans locally, as well as fostering the office’s diverse and inclusive work environment and creating a workplace where staff are encouraged to thrive.
