Coordinators Club:

Project and Firm Finances for Marketing Professionals

Marketers are often required to wear multiple hats, master skills outside of their main area of expertise and collaborate with firm and client staff in all departments. This Coordinators Club will focus on the vital area of firm finances and will give marketers the information they need to understand proposal requirements, project negotiations, firm documentation and basic expenses and budgeting.

Attendees will:

  • Understand multipliers and hourly rates and basic firm financial structures
  • Gain the knowledge of how to work with firm financial professionals to complete proposals and firm documentation
  • Understand typical fee breakdowns for projects and an intro of project fees
  • Understand targets for marketing expenses and budgeting and how it fits in to overall firm operations

REMINDER

Coordinator’s Club Brown Bag Lunch events are to initiate conversations among junior marketing staff and are open to all members of SMPS. These lunch sessions consist of an open discussion on a variety of topics, ranging from awards submissions to proposals to project photography. They are free to attend, we just ask that you bring your own lunch (beverages and sweets will be provided).
