DeSimone Consulting Engineers is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing team in New York. Qualified candidates will use all forms of media and communication to achieve significant increases in brand awareness and to improve both in internal and client relationships.

Required Skills and Experience

Assist in writing and editing press releases, speeches, articles, case studies, and information for website and social media
Act as liaison between the company and third party PR firm
Research, write, and communicate weekly firm and project updates
Maintain and update internal and external media outlets including websites, blog, social media, newsletters, and various announcements
Coordinate various corporate and industry events
Coordinate award submissions
Perform organizational and marketing duties as needed
Ability to work successfully in a collaborative team-oriented environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, and/or public relations preferred
Two years of relevant experience
Experience in both traditional and interactive/online PR channels
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with LinkedIn and Facebook marketing campaigns a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, Constant Contract, and social media outlets
