What a night! We had an incredible time networking and celebrating SMPS New York and our achievements from members and member firms this year. Special thank you to our New Colossus event sponsor, WB Engineering, for your fantastic perspective on how the evening unfolded and congratulations, again, to all our winners!
2020 has been an extraordinary year. And this year’s Annual Meeting and Liberty Ball was nothing short of extraordinary. The event, celebrated on a virtual platform, honored the winners of the 2020 Liberty Awards and took a moment to look back at the chapter’s successes. With themed cocktails!
A couple of highlights that made the night extraordinary for me:
- Our team won People’s Choice for our 2019 Thanksgiving Holiday Card. We had so much fun with it – and we were bold and creative in our strategy and design. We knew that we had to be – celebrating 20 years is a big deal! So to win People’s Choice, be recognized for the work that we love to do, and become an award-winning marketing team was pretty special.
- The leader of our team, Julie Pampuch, was recognized as Vanguard of the Year. An incredibly well-deserved accomplishment for someone who leads with kindness and continues to raise the bar in the industry. For Julie, it was an honor to follow in the footsteps of our CEO, David Bonifacic, from winning this award years ago. And to her team, she wrote, “I have been guided in life by the idea that she believed she could, so she did. What I see you accomplish when you believe in yourselves gives me that excited ‘hell yeah’ feeling every day. Learning from you, laughing with you, and leading you is a gift.” We love you, Julie! And we couldn’t be more proud of you.
It was also great to see others honored for their work and contributions to the industry! Congratulations to Jeffrey Taub, who won Marketer of the Year, and Cassandra Yzaguirre, recipient of the Rising Star Award. Let’s take a minute for a round of applause… wherever you are!
And, of course, congratulations to all the winners of the Marketing Communications Awards. I saw outstanding work – and truly celebrated the bold, the brilliant, and some of the best marketers and teams in the business.
