Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is a national engineering firm that designs, investigates, and rehabilitates structures, building enclosures, and materials. Our award-winning work encompasses building, energy, civil/infrastructure, and science/defense projects in the United States, Canada, and more than thirty additional countries.
Our clients come to us asking for more than technical responses – they expect holistic answers and steadfast effort to address their most daunting problems. We show our dedication in many ways, including our award-winning work to investigate, analyze, and design structural strengthening for the World Trade Center’s remaining section of “bathtub” slurry wall that survived the September 11 attacks. The slurry wall now stands as a symbol of endurance as part of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum.
In the fall, we will host our third-annual CREATE+CONSTRUCT symposium – a one-day, AIA-accredited event that gathers experts from across the AEC industry to discuss issues relevant to New York City. This year’s symposium, hosted on September 19 at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City, will focus on repositioning and adaptive reuse in existing buildings.
