I’m sure many (if not all) of you are well aware of our Chapter President Julie Pampuch’s proclivity for lavishing praise on the volunteers of the SMPS New York Chapter. For months now, she’s been talking up the board members, participants, and friends of the chapter on her President’s Platform, via group and personal emails…and basically, anytime she has the opportunity to squeeze it into conversation.

[expand title=”Click here to read more…”] Well, it may be long overdue, but now it’s definitely Julie’s turn to be lauded for the fantastic job she’s been doing as the leader of our group. We recently submitted Julie’s nomination for SMPS Chapter President of the Year, and while we’re still waiting to hear the results, I certainly think she deserves it! And I’m not the only one…here’s what others had to say: “I have known Julie for over fourteen years, and have personally witnessed her blossom and flourish both in her involvement with SMPS, and in her professional career. Her tenure as Chapter President truly sets the example of how to lead, advocate for, and champion her fellow board members, committee chairs, committee volunteers, and our entire membership.”—Andrew Weinberg, Regional Business Development Manager, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger “[Julie] has the best interests of her SMPS constituents, old and new, in mind—and it shows in her delightful manner, her open affect, and her overall friendliness. Julie is a great advocate for SMPS and an outstanding leader. She well deserves to be named president of the year!”—Alexa B. Antopol, Chief Intelligence Officer, Fisher Dachs Associates, Inc. “Not only was Julie wildly successful beyond what I could have ever imagined, but I can also say that she accomplished it through a unique combination of a clear vision, collective engagement and alignment of her volunteers, and in the absence of anything else – sheer determination.” “Julie embodies the SMPS values of innovation, integrity, lifelong learning, relationships, and service.”—Benjamin Sawa, Director of Marketing, GEI Consultants, Inc. (and SMPS Boston Chapter President, 2014-15) I hope you’ll take a look at our submission HERE and join me in thanking Julie for all her hard work. Please also take a moment the next time you see her to let her know how her efforts have helped engage you and encourage you to be a special part of our SMPS-NY community. And remember, it can get a little lonely at the top, so certainly feel free to join her on the next of her now-famous victory laps! [/expand]
