[insert-author-info] A vision of a warm summer night, walls covered in dark wood, the taste of Bourbon whiskey on your tongue, and a soundtrack of jazz music filling your ears. No, you’re not time traveling to New Orleans in the 1920’s…you’re at the SMPS-NY Sponsor Appreciation event. Members of the leading New York architecture, engineering, and construction companies gathered at the Architects and Designers Building in Midtown Manhattan for this second-annual hat-tip to the New York Chapter’s annual sponsors. The Chapter’s Board of Directors, Widow Jane Distillery, The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn, speakers from past panel events, and representatives of host Carlisle Wide Plank Flooring joined these patrons to celebrate the end of another successful SMPS-NY Chapter year. “We are able to provide important educational and networking opportunities to marketers and business developers throughout the New York City area because of the contributions of our annual and event sponsors,” said 2015-16 Chapter President Alicia Koledin. “Without them, none of this would be possible.” “The Sponsor Appreciation event was a great chance to catch up with some of the most supportive and dedicated SMPS-NY members in an intimate environment,” said Carrie Villani, Director of Marketing at Leslie E. Robertson Associates, speaker, and chair of the SMPS-NY Coordinators Clubs. “The evening offered lively conversation amid tasty beverages and food with charming live music.” The Chapter’s Sponsorship Committee, led by Scott Stelzer, began planning the yearly event in 2015 with the goal of providing an exclusive networking opportunity to sponsoring firms and to acknowledge the importance that sponsorship plays in the success of the Chapter. All new sponsorship opportunities and an expanded list of benefits are being unveiled for the 2016-17 Chapter year. Stay tuned for more information.
