EVENT BUZZ | Client Panel: Annual Principals’ Breakfast, Presented by SMPS-NY & PWC

Firm principals, SMPS members, and AEC professionals, mark your calendars! SMPS New York will co-host our annual Principals’ Breakfast with Professional Women in Construction (PWC) on March 13, 2018. Given the importance of this, our biggest and most well-attended client program, our Chapter has decided to match the high caliber speakers with a high caliber event space. This year, we are adding a touch of sophistication by moving the program to the Grand Ballroom at the Yale Club!


Members are invited to bring their firm’s principals at the member rate to learn more about New York’s upcoming AEC opportunities in 2018-2019. Another new feature this year, in addition to a formal sit-down breakfast, is the addition of table hosts. One speaker from a past SMPS-NY client panel will sit at each table. Attendees will rub elbows with their table hosts while listening to industry leaders discuss the 2018-2019 economic forecasts from various AEC sectors. Attendees at each table will also have the opportunity to pose questions to the expert panel. This unique event is designed to promote networking and face-to-face contact with potential clients and leaders in NYC’s regional AEC community.

SMPS-NY kicked off our first session of the 3-part CPSM (Certified Professional Services Marketer) Boot Camp on June 6. We had 13 participants join us in 3 locations (Manhattan, Long Island and Westchester). Michael McCann reviewed Domain 1 – Market Research through key terms and dissecting practice exam questions. We are preparing for an exam after all! I followed suit with Domain 2 – Marketing Planning.
