Allied Works Architecture is a 40-person practice with offices in New York City and Portland, Oregon. Projects include cultural, academic, corporate and residential work located across the country and internationally. We are seeking a full-time Manager of Business Development and Communications to work in either office. This position includes the management of all Business Development, Public Relations, Marketing and Media efforts for the office.

Specific Responsibilities for Business Development include:
• Research opportunities and requests for proposals, competitions and other potential projects; conduct proposal-specific research as necessary
• Assist with production of proposals, competitions and potential project documents
• Oversee and edit written and graphic marketing materials
• Create and maintain agendas, schedules, status reports and other business development documents
• Maintain contact database: generate and track cultivation correspondence

Specific Responsibilities for PR include:
• Serve as primary contact for public relations consultants
• Act as primary contact for incoming press inquiries

Qualification Requirements Include:
• Excellent writing skills; experience drafting copy for press and business development preferred
• Three+ years experience in design, communications or PR-related field is desired
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and Filemaker preferred
