Communications & Marketing Coordinator – RRT Design & Construction

RRT, headquartered in Long Island (Melville), is a national engineering and construction company working extensively in the field of recycling, waste processing, energy-from-waste and other technologies for sustainable recovery of materials and energy from solid waste. Celebrating our 25th anniversary, we are a nationally recognized leader for building profitable businesses for our customers/clients serving their market areas. We are currently seeking a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to assist with communications and new business initiatives under the direction of the firms’ Executive Team.

Special Job Function/2014 Initiatives

• Join the President, Chief Communication Officer and other senior managers to replace our current website with a modern, updated website.
• Assist with communications and promotion of RRT’s regional offices.
• Promote and assist with the launch of a new technology offering to increase recycling rates in US.

General Job Function

• Organize, prepare and submit responses for Requests for Proposals/Qualifications (RFP/Q); includes managing the schedule and deliverables.
• Prepare marketing collateral, including qualification materials, proposals, advertising and promotional activities .
• Obtain project images and maintain library.
• Assist with brochure, newsletter, and promotional material assembly and distribution to clients and prospects and for trade shows.
• Manage our participation in 5 to 10 trade shows per year; in some instances attend.
• Manage our sponsorships of tradeshows.
• Coordinate our editorial calendar for publishing articles in trade journals, presenting papers at conferences and speaking engagements.
• Assist Chief Communications Officer to communicate and manage RRT’s brand across all aspects and divisions of the company.
• Write and issue press releases.
• Participate in business unit strategic planning meetings, representing marketing and communicate initiatives to management.
• Create presentation and interview marketing materials.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign preferred
• Creative with a thorough understanding of marketing concepts, strategies, and clients
• Excellent communication, organizational and inter-personal skills
• Self-directed, able to work with minimum supervision in deadline-sensitive environment
• Understanding of architecture, engineering and construction industry
• Ideal candidate thrives in areas of initiative, quality of work, customer focus and handling difficult issues
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to collaborate in team environment
