Mace North America Limited is a member of Mace Group a construction consultancy business which now operates in over 65 countries around the world with key hubs in the States, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe. We have approximately 4,000 people at Mace of which around 2,600 are on the consultancy side delivering program, project, facilities and cost management services with the others delivering contracting predominately in the UK.
We are excited about our growth in the North American marketplace and we are looking for an energetic Business Development Manager to join our New York team in the expansion of the business in the northeast region. The ideal candidate will have the right mix of a work ethic along with a drive to develop the business development function. This person will provide oversight and direction in the development and implementation of our marketing program designed to build and reinforce the organization’s reputation as a leading service provider.
As testament to the growth we are experiencing, in Q4 2014 we are moving to new offices on Broadway near Herald Sq to accommodate our growing staff!
Core responsibilities include:
Organize a contact strategy for new clients and refresh the existing strategy for clients in the Northeast region and with global clients.
Partner with the marketing and bid teams to create effective marketing and communication strategies, organize industry events such as CoreNet and other local events in the Northeast region, and draft client presentations to develop the pipeline.
Provide client specific opportunity assessment, market evaluation, market research, financial evaluation, and other marketing needs required throughout the proposal preparation and delivery process.
Minimum requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in construction, business, marketing, or a related discipline
Minimum 7 years substantial and broad experience in Business Development and/or Account Management with at least 3-5 years demonstrated success in selling and developing new business
Demonstrated experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and multiple decision makers.
Engaging and highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that cultivate and grow lasting business relationships both internally and externally.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
