Marketing Coordinator – HLB Lighting Design

HLB Lighting Design’s Union Square location in NYC seeks a highly pro-active Marketing Coordinator with communication skills, graphic design ability and experience in the Architectural market. Marketing Coordinator will interact on all marketing and assist principals in business development initiatives for our multi-office firm. Must be familiar with preparation of RFPs/RFQs/SF330 forms, public relations, collateral development and more. S/he will be located in the NY office with the Marketing Director and Marketing Assistant and collaborate with our nationwide Marketing team located in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Boston. Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally, actively participate in networking opportunities and multi-task. This is a growth opportunity for a dynamic candidate who is ready to move to Marketing Manager in few years.


• Develop project proposals, qualifications and collateral. Coordinate with senior management and technical staff.
• Update/Maintain CRM database (Deltek Vision), reports and marketing files
• Enthusiastically focus business development toward growing a mid-sized Lighting Design firm within selected US and foreign markets
• Assist NYC Marketing Manager with ongoing marketing efforts including press releases (GoDaddy)
• Procure publication quality project images and manage annual collateral budget
• Encourage Principals and Designers to attend various networking conferences and events
• Collaborate productively in bi monthly marketing team initiative conference calls
• Track yearly budget and assess marketing needs for the future
• Award submissions

Essential Skill Set:

• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures
• Knowledge of database and reporting concepts CRM- Deltek Vision, Groupwise,
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
• Proficiency using desktop publishing/design tool software (Adobe CS6 InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat etc)
• Competent with electronic media, social media, HTML, GoDaddy
• Excellent writing, editing, presentation and graphic design
• Understanding of basic marketing principles

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of experience preferred
• Without a degree, three to five years of relevant A/E/C experience required
• Recommended: Preparation to earn the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification
