Talk about free SMPS member perks! SMPS always seems to be on par with answering many of my urgent marketing questions. As a marketer investing in building a new website, I feel confident in most aspects of the design of the site, like choosing imagery, writing compelling content, and linking all my company’s social media accounts, but back end Google Analytics and SEO best practices…the vocabulary itself can be overwhelming! On Tuesday, April 10, I attended the SMPSNY creative workshop at Noble Desktop in SoHo to hear from speaker Nicole McCullum of Captivate Designs, as she dove into keyword tracking, organic click-through rates, and Google rankings.
The seminar targeted SEO and Google Analytics basics to provide a general understanding of best practices and outline how to implement free tools to begin the journey of how to correctly use search engine strategies to increase website traffic, generate business, and reach targeted audiences by:
- interpreting data and establishing goals,
- deciphering the positives and negatives of bounce rates,
- and composing content that builds brand trust.
Top take-away tip: you can’t improve what you don’t measure!
This event was provided by Noble Desktop – thank you!
I look forward to the upcoming professional development program on April 25, ‘How to Curate Your Brand’s Integrated Marketing Package,’ to tie all these elements together.
Hope to see you there!
