Join SMPS-NY on Tuesday, July 25th to learn about how Tri-state agencies are responding to the current social, economic, and political issues facing the region. What particular programs and initiatives will support the most capital expenditure in the A/E/C community in the near future? How are agencies collaborating with the private sector to enhance development and revitalization in areas targeted to support future growth? And how are regional agencies looking to A/E/C companies to address the challenges of building in NYC’s increasingly cost-prohibitive environment?

The panel speakers include:

Len Greco, Senior Vice President, Capital Division, New York City Economic Development Corporation. His division provides direct design and construction management services to over 100 active municipal projects throughout the five boroughs.

Eric R. DaLeo, Assistant Executive Director, Capital Planning & Programs, NJ Transit. He is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of an annual statewide $1 billion+ capital program that entails all aspects of project planning, management, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Mark Lohbauer, Director, New Jersey Regional Plan Association. He leads RPA’s research, planning and advocacy activities in New Jersey. RPA’s initiatives in part focus on advocating for investments in transit and critical infrastructure. Mark is an economic development policy specialist who was a principal at the consulting firm JGSC Group for 12 years before joining RPA.

Rick Bell, Executive Director of Design and Construction Excellence. City of New York Department of Design and Construction. He oversees the design, renovation, and construction of structures including libraries, museums, police precincts, senior centers, and safety improvements that NYC needs to serve the public.

Michael T. McCann, FSMPS, CPSM, will moderate. He brings his 25 years’ experience as a marketing and business development professional with architectural, engineering and construction firms to the table.
