Work Out. Give Back. Feel Good.
SMPS-NY Chapter members Katherine DeMercurio and Margaux Jaffa sit on the planning committee and will be spinning at the 5th Annual Spin for Hunger indoor cycling charity event. The event will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at SoulCycle in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, benefiting St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters. St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters seek to nourish the body and spirit of those in need, focusing on three groups: low income, homeless, and the socially challenged.
Spin for Hunger is a fun and exciting way to exercise while raising funds and awareness for the seniors, children, men, and women of the New York area who hunger and thirst physically as well as emotionally. All funds raised will benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, feeding, clothing, and counseling over 10,000 families in the New York area serving over 1.5 million meals a year. For more information on St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, please visit their website www.stfrancispantries.org
Participants across the building and real estate industry are joining forces and fundraising for the 45-minute cycling class with our venue sponsor SoulCycle and will celebrate afterward with great prizes for our top fundraisers, give-a-ways, t-shirts, and goody bags. FOX News’ Rosanna Scotto and Ines Rosales and SiteCompli’s Dana Trulis are chairing this year’s event and a clip of the spin will be aired on the following morning’s Good Day New York.
There is still time to reserve a bike, become an event sponsor, or sponsor a spinner!
Please reach out to Katherine (email@example.com) or Margaux (firstname.lastname@example.org) with additional questions, or visit the Spin for Hunger website at www.spinforhunger.org/cfpspin for daily updates. All donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law.
